Absentee ballots will be available as of Monday, January 8 for those voters who plan to be absent for the upcoming Special Boyden Hull School Election to be held on February 6. A qualified voter may come to the Auditor’s Office in Orange City to personally cast his or her vote. This may be done up through 4:30 pm on Monday, February 5. For absentee voting purposed, the Auditor’s Office will be open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 PM. A qualified voter may also request an absentee ballot in writing but it must be on an iowa official Absentee request form. This form is available on the Sioux County web page of www.siouxcounty.org under the Auditor page. Each voter must use a separate form. The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed is 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 26. All ballots returned through the mail must be postmarked before Election Day.
