Defender Days

Dordt Defender Days is coming up! It’s Dordt’s largest gathering of the year, and this year has the special addition of unveiling Dordt’s new logo. Plenty of other events are happening as well from the musical My Fair Lady showing in the Te Paske Theatre, to Dordt’s instrumental and Choral Ensembles in the B.J.Haan, and of Course Dordt Football will highlight Saturday. Defender Days Art Class

Location: Dordt College Science Building

The Senior Seminar Class will host a public art event on Friday, October 19 in the Science and Technology Center at Dordt between 12-4pm. The class hopes to get the community involved in art and encourage excitement about the new logo reveal while providing an activity for Defender Days visitors. The event is free and open to the public.

SCCS Fall Soup Supper

Location: Sioux Center Christian School

The Sioux Center Christian School Fall Soup Supper will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 19 at school. Senior citizens are welcome to come at 4:45pm. A variety of delicious soups, sandwiches, and desserts will be served. There will be an opportunity to give a free-will donation.

“Following Christ in Our Digital Lives”

Location: Dewitt Learning Commons

Come hear a free lecture by Dr. Rob Rhea, chaplain at Trinity Western University, who will speak on “Following Christ in Our Digital Lives.” The prevalence of gaming and pornography calls us to thoughtfully and faithfully reclaim the deep freedom found in living a Christ-centered and Christ-honoring morality. This will be held at 7-8pm on Tuesday, October 23, at the Vogel Community Room in the Dewitt Learning Commons at Northwestern College in Orange City.
