The Okoboji Summer Theatre is pleased to present I Ought to Be in Pictures by Neil Simon. The production runs form Tuesday, June 26, through Sunday, July 1. Tuesday through Saturday the show begins at 8 PM with a Saturday matinee at 4:30 PM and the Sunday showing at 6 PM. Prairie Walk

Prairie Walk

The Sioux County community is invited to Dordt’s first prairie walk of the year on Wednesday, June 27, from 7-8 PM. The free guided walk will begin at the northwest corner of the Dordt soccer fields. Handouts with color photos will be provided to showcase prominent prairie plants and birds.

Perspectives Magazine

On Thursday, June 28, Perspectives magazine will sponsor a book discussion with Dr. James Schaap of Alton. Perspectives, a quarterly magazine of faith and culture that has many contributors from this area. The discussion will be held at Town Square Coffee House and Kitchen, downtown Orange City, at 7:00 PM. The public is cordially invited.

OCA Veterans and Citizenship

This July 4th, Orange City Arts is partnering with Ode Storytelling of Sioux City and Edem Soul Music of Omaha to celebrate America’s brave veterans and her powerful citizens as port of the regular Onstage Orange City summer programming. All local veterans and their spouses are invited to come and be honored and thanked for their service. All recent citizenship recipients are also invited to attend and be congratulated. FFA Tractor Ride

One-Week Play

From July 16 to July 20, Orange City arts is partnering with Compass Creative Dramatics of Chicago to provide a week long theatre residency that takes students from audition to performance in just 5 days. Students in grades 1-8 will rehearse Mon-Fri mornings from 9:15 AM – 12:30 PM at Northwestern College’s DeWitt Theatre Arts Center, and will perform their play on Friday evening at 7 PM and Saturday afternoon at 2 PM.
