|The Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra Friend Board (Friends of NISO) is sponsoring a garden tour on Thursday, July 6 from 4pm-8pm and Friday, July 7 from 9am-1pm. Tour gardens are at the homes of Brent and Mary Hulstein (752 3rd St. Circle NE, Sioux Center), Teres View Condos (1073 Teres View Dr. Sioux Center), Kyle and Jade Van Holland (3868 Indian Ave, Sioux Center) and at Heritage Village (1271 7th Street. NE, Sioux Center). Truffles will be served at Ground Effects (2075 S. Main, Sioux Center).|
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Sioux Center Chamber Office; Jubon Juweelen, Orange City; and Iowa State Extension Offices in Sioux, Lyon, O’Brien and Osceola counties. Tickets will also be available at each garden site both days. All proceeds are to support the NISO Student Scholarship Fund.

Farmers and the public are invited to attend Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach’s Annual Northwest Iowa Research and Demonstration Farm Field Day on Wednesday, July 12 at the Northwest Iowa Research and Demonstration Farm near Sutherland. Check-in and registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the program starting at 9:30 a.m. ISU Extension and Outreach specialists will present timely research and crop production information throughout the morning. Topics and speakers will include:

- Soybean Aphids and Insecticide Resistance presented by Erin Hodgson, ISU Extension Entomologist

The Unity Christian School Booster Club is sponsoring their annual golf outing on Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City.
