I grew up in Rock Valley, Iowa and attended Western Christian High School in Hull, Iowa. Currently, I am a sophomore at Dordt majoring in Communication Studies. While I was at Western, I participated in theatre for three years. I also participated in soccer for three years, I spent two years as a player and my senior year as a team manager. I participated in competitive speech for all four years of my high school career in the improv category, I was honored with a selection to the IHSSA All-State Festival in the category of improv during my senior year. I was a member of the National Honors Society both my junior and senior year. I have attended Trinity CRC church in Rock Valley for my whole life. I have worked as a bagboy and checker/cashier at a local grocery store for two years and have worked as a community living coach at Hope Haven for one year.
If you had to prepare a fancy meal for special friends, what would you make?
I would make them spaghetti with garlic bread. One of the only things I know how to cook.
How has your work at KDCR 88.5 inspired you?
It shows me how words and communication can hold a great amount of weight.

Your support is greatly appreciated by the KDCR staff! Because of your support, I can learn more about radio and receive substantial experience that will help me acquire a job in the communication field! I owe a lot of the educational value of my college experience to you.
