11/17/20 – Gov. Reynolds Introduces New COVID-19 Regulations

Iowa Governor Reynolds last night announced new mask and social distancing requirements as virus surges across the state.

The Governor, in an address broadcast statewide, said COVID hospitalizations are now straining the health care system.

The Governor last night outlined some of the new rules.

High school and college sports will continue, but spectators will be limited, and they will be required to wear masks. Reynolds says these steps are intended to affect the behavior of Iowan.

The Governor says these rules may affect family gatherings this thanksgiving, but if they are not followed, businesses and schools may be forced to close, and the state’s hospital system may fail.
