The latest report on Midwest manufacturing shows the index dipped slightly, but growth remains strong. This is survey author Dr. Ernie Goss.

Goss says there are two kinds of bottlenecks affecting the economy.

There are also bottlenecks related to available labor.

Bottlenecks are causing higher costs and schedule disruptions for manufacturers. These disruptions are also felt at the local level, through increasing costs of construction materials.
