The City of Orange City, the MOC/Floyd Valley School District, and Sioux County, will together build infrastructure to support the school district’s elementary school campus project. City manager Earl Woudstra says the three have entered a 28E agreement, to handle details of paving two main streets there.
The city and county will work to pave part of Jay Avenue. There will also be a street installed along the property’s south border.
The 38 acres where MOC-Floyd Valley schools wants to build is part of a larger, 80-acre parcel owned by the city.
The next step is sell the property to the school district. A public hearing on that sale will take place at the September 21 city council meeting.
