9/14/20 – Orange City looks at Strategic Plan

The City of Orange City is going to take a closer look at the city’s strategic plan, because of all of the recent projects that are underway in the city.  This is Orange City’s economic development director Mark Gaul.

Gaul says the likelihood of a new elementary school is creating new possibilities for the city to consider.

A new school project, a new commercial lot, and a now-vacant airport, are some of the matters which cause city planners to review their long-term goals and strategies.

Consulting firm ING of Sioux Falls will help the city with this review.  They will begin work this month, taking in city staff and citizen input. A final plan is to be ready for city council approval next spring.
