Orange City is carrying out a comprehensive strategic plan this fall and winter, to direct future growth. City economic development director Mark Gaul says they are building on a previous study that addressed housing options for the city.
Gaul says they brought in a Sioux Falls consulting firm to lead the development of the plan.
The city put out a request for proposals from consulting firms, and decided on IMG, a company from Sioux Falls, SD. The study will produce a community strategic plan, a community development master plan, and prioritize projects in the city. IMG will be paid $72,000 dollars to lead this planning process.
