Ernie Goss says the region is trying to recover from heavy job losses.
Goss says employment is up in the nine states he surveys, including Iowa, but there’s a persistent problem which existed before coronavirus.
Dr. Goss says the manufacturing sector is not back to normal but will get back to pre-coronavirus levels. That will not be the case for the leisure and hospitality industries. This sector was devastated by coronavirus closures.
