Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation she says will clarify issues surrounding the reopening of schools this fall. Reynolds, in a news conference this morning, said the proclamation helps schools make decisions on reopening, how students are instructed, and manpower.
Governor Reynolds says there is no adequate substitute for in-person instruction. And that most Iowa parents want their children to return to school. At the same time, districts can decide to provide on-line instruction, if that’s what parents prefer. Iowa schools open next month, with plans for coping with coronavirus issues.
