Orange City Area Home Health and Hospice will host Grief Classes for five consecutive Monday afternoons September 21-October 19 from 1-2:30pm in the lower level meeting rooms of Orange City Area Health System’s Downtown Campus on Central Avenue. The classes are designed to help individuals understand the dynamics of grief and provide a safe environment in which they can express feelings. The program is available to adults who have experienced the death of a loved one through illness, accident, or suicide. The goal of the class is not to resolve the grieving process, but to assist the bereaved in working through the powerful emotions that accompany the death of loved one. Professionals and past participants share information about normal grief reactions and help group members discover the skills they need to begin again. The in-person classes will adhere to social distancing guidelines. Participants are asked to park in the East parking lot of the Downtown Campus and use the entrance on the East side of the building. Pre-registration by Monday, September 14th, is required as group size is limited. Call 712-737-5279 with questions or to pre-register. There is no charge.
