Prairie Grass Film Challenge Cancelled due to COVID-19

Coronavirus has stopped yet another event on the Dordt University campus…the Prairie Grass Film Challenge.  Mark Volkers, the founder of the event, says their board decided not to contest it this year.

Volkers says the Film Challenge board didn’t want to do a virtual event.

They also didn’t want to carry on this particular event during a pandemic.

The Prairie Grass Film Challenge is a competition between teams of film producers.  They have 48 hours to complete a film containing several required elements.  Later in the spring, the films are screened on the Dordt University campus, and the winners announced that same evening.  The 15Th anniversary Film Challenge will take place next year.
